Genuinely interested in what everyone does to chill out after a stressful day/week/term at school.

I try to take my mind off school completely during breaks but have spent most of my half term writing reports so not doing so well this time round 🤣

What helps you to unwind and reset?

Try to allocate only certain hours to school work, especially at home, I know it sometimes seems impossible but we are only human and it's important to have a life as well.

Nothing will change while we all keep working unpaid hours because we don't want to let the kids down!

Exercise and gardening now that the weather is brightening up for me mostly!

Sitting down with a cuppa and watching tv

Or a good book always helps me take my mind off of work things, as DH said try not to work in the holidays and fit it all in term time if you can

Love a bit of yoga and meditation, I try and do an hour every couple of days, improves my mental health by leaps and bounds...

Spending time with family is the most important thing for me, makes the daily grind all worth it

That and the occasional touch of alcohol 😏

I try to get down the gym a lot and stay active, and I have a young son at home that keeps me more than occupied! Strong believer that exercise is the key to staying mentally sharp and healthy.

Thank god I have a lovely wife that takes on a lot of the every day chores and lets me get some time to myself

Evening TV mostly where I can fit it in, would like to be making better use of my spare time during term but I'm always exhausted after school.

Same here, I make sure to keep up with Coronation Street but that's all the TV time I can manage!! 🤣 Parents evening coming up soon and so much to do!

I do hate myself for wasting time watching soaps sometimes but it really does help take the mind off things for a while

Plus I refuse to buy Netflix since they stopped the household sharing

I think have a healthy work life balance is essential! I like to run or go on my bike, get my nails done and try to leave early one night per week!

This time of year in general puts me in a much better mood, apart from that lots of meditation and trying to leave work at work, got a lot better at leaving out of hour emails alone until the next day too!
